Each summer, Carnegie Hall’s national youth ensembles bring together the brightest young American instrumentalists for intensive training and performances on some of the world’s greatest stages. All three programs are free and led by an all-star faculty of professional musicians, giving students the opportunity to hone their talents while working with the world’s finest artists. As national ensembles, these programs include a broad range of musicians from across the country that reflect the exceptional talent and diversity of the United States
Cultural Exchange: A Key Part of Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Ensembles Program
Each summer, Carnegie Hall brings together the finest young musicians from across the country to form its three national youth ensembles: the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA), NYO2, and NYO Jazz. One important part of their experience is embarking on tours to some of the great music capitals of the world, where they serve as America’s musical ambassadors. As part of their travel schedule, participants meet and collaborate with local musicians and experience the richness of other cultures.

James Horner took a lot of this Copland's work for An American Tail: Fievel Goes West. Awesome performance.
First was still cleaner but I see what he's saying
How many times have I heard the conductor say "it's supposed to sound bah bah beee bah, not bah bah bee bah.... AGAIN". and I just nod and say "I know exactly what you're talking about" (not) play the exact same thing just for the conductor to say "that was amazing!"... it's hilarious. Works every time. It's just a powerplay.
Honestly, Half of the time as a musician you play exactly the same way and the conductor will just say "yeah that's much better" unless it's a great conductor/teacher. It's kinda Bs IMO.
Why do they all look like the same person with different hair??
Hmm maybe because you’re being willfully ignorant Mr. Morbid Fascist 😅 but you already knew that
This song was soooo amazing!
1.) sit correctly in your chair so you can breathe. 2.) take it home and woodshed it.
Where's the cuica solo?
That did sound a lot better. A little pitchy, but hey, still sounds great
Can’t wait to hear the whole song
Amazing teaching and playing
Excellent Excellent
O Canada Millennium
Where is that amazing tenor player now? What a player!
not the triangle player staring sadly at the xylophone player in envy and awe🤣😭 this sounds soo cool though
As great as is the original piano work, the transcription by Ravel is just sheer genius. I'm sure if Mussorgsky had heard this, he would have been over the Moon.
Beautifully done 🎉
I loved the way in which the black kid playing the violin was enjoying himself!
🇯🇵🇺🇸🤝
So HOT!!!
Beautiful ❤
Brava, Bravissima Joyce DiDonato. This is a song cycle with sumptious music needing a voice with flexible articulation and complete vocal control. Not only this, but a singer who has the feeling for interpetation of text paralled with musical writing. Feeling, sensitivity, fineline vocal preparation are all qualities which I find in Joyce DiDonato which make her rendition of this song cycle the best that I have heard. Also the conductor and the orchetra are to be generously applauded. I only wish that before starting they had asked the audience to hold all applause until the end of the performance. Bravo Berlioz. I love Papano, the excellent Maestro
Brilliant!
¡Bravo chicos! Magnífica interpretación! Y Dirección 👏👏👏👏
16:55 Auf dem Gletscher
Ufffffffffffffffffff ❤

The third chair first violinist is wild, she deserved a higher position.
all great players in their own right but can none of them just play a blues (except for the pianists)?
That drummer pure enyoing music❤ , amaizing playing
God bless America.
Mad respects to the quartet & their teacher. Remarkable teamwork, and a joy to see everyone smiling, pushing, driving, working together. Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful ❤God bless these young people 🙏..God bless America ❤
A!! QUE BIEN EJECUTADO . FELICIDADES MUCHACHOS, BIEN POR EL DIRECTOR
Uhhhhhhhin addition to red trousers, I do reccomend a houndstooth jacket .... 😊😊😊😊
A conductor who seems affected by bad quality weeds and performers needing a lot of practice yet... 😮😮
During the overture the trumpet player made a cue ,an "incident " someone said..,that should never occur in a orchestra of professionals... I soon realized the performers were not professionals, maybe only good will people..... 🤔🤔🤔🤔
that arrangement is amazing
Close your eyes, listen and feel it: joy and passion of this music, imagine dancing to this music👍🏻👍🏻😀
As a Sri Lankan, the only foreign national anthem that brings tears to my eyes is the US national anthem. I always cry whenever the US anthem is played at the Olympic games.🥺🥺🥺❤❤❤
¡Y que viva México chingaoo!
I find what she said so true about someone soloing their butt off and their foot tapping completely off beat! Oh my god, that is so distracting from what they are communicating to the audience!
Браво!!!. Ай, да молодёжь!!! Исполнили произведение выше всяких похвал. Да и дирижер оригинал и умница
Lol
I know for a fact conductors aren’t necessary because the band members are looking down reading their sheet music, so why are they there waving their arms around like mental patients? Funny vid though!
Cyrus Mackey - love that last name 😉 - from Dillard, same school that gifted us with Summer Camargo, and she’s here too. Love this chart, the original Frank Foster, played it myself numerous times with a big band on trombone.
Đồng Ý vì nước Lã, người dân nước Lã! Mà Ta Tha cho Bố! Về
This is so beautiful. Very well thought out. A fabulous surprise. Bravo!!
